SPRING!
Spring is the season of hope. Lime green grass, chartreuse tree buds, and flowers bursting out with fresh and glistening petals. Brilliant sunlight. Those muddy winter scales covering my eyes have fallen off and I see nature’s beauty everywhere. Do you remember what it was like when you were a child and spring would arrive?
Did you ride your bike with a leg in the air, and hold on with only one hand? Did you roller skate, despite skinned knees? Whiz through the air on a swing, hanging your head back to get dizzy? Throw jacks, Shoot marbles, Skip? Play hopscotch? Jump into freezing water? Race with friends? Tumble down hills? Fly a kite?
Take a moment to remember what it was like, then go out and play. Cavort, dream, write poems and let spring take your breath away. There’s still time!
